Hey whats up?

Weve had a long run in hosting the warped tour unofficial site since 2002, but after 6 years it just isnt something that we are up for. If anyone out there wants to take over this site, and do a really good job with it, drop an email to calgarypunk at hotmail dot com for more info. Serious inquiries only please. Our main domain is warpedtour.net, but also runs under warped2008.com, etc. to continue up from our original launch as warped2002.com.

I have found that if you are in a band, or running a label, or clothing company, having a site like this is an excellent way to market yourself to everyone without the expensive costs in running print ads etc. This is a great opportunity for the right person. THE USED VOCALIST BERT MCCRACKEN UNDERGOING SURGERY

Bert McCracken has just been advised to undergo surgery due to the fact that he has developed a node on one of his vocal chords. Consequently, the band has been forced to cancel their shows on all upcoming dates during June and July, including the Van's Warped Tour. Doctors have recommended treatment as well as rest without singing and are expecting a full recovery. He will be able to sing again in about five weeks.

The band is incredibly disappointed but promised to return to touring in the USA in early September with headlining dates. "Kevin Lyman and the Van's Warped tour have been amazing supporters of our band and we are truly saddened that we won't be able to perform on this year's tour," states Quinn Allman, The Used�s guitarist. We hope to have new tour details ready for release shortly.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Interview

Thanks to Aaron from Drop Dead, Gorgeous for taking the time to chat with us. You can check out their new album "In Vogue" which is available in all Hot Topic stores as well as the usual stores...

PNW: Please state your name and what your role is in the band?

A: Im Aaron Rothe and I play keyboards and sing in Drop Dead, Gorgeous.

PNW: What have you guys been up to lately?

A: We have been living in LA since the beginning of the year writing and recording a new record with Ross Robinson! We are wrapping up in a few days to hit the road.

PNW: How did you first find out you were slotted on the tour this year and what was your reaction?

A: Our manager was with us and got the email. We were so stoked! We have gone to Warped Tours since we were kids and it always dreamed of getting to play it. Its such an honor. We couldnt be more excited.

PNW: What other bands on the tour are you excited about checkin out this summer?

A: Alkaline Trio! We are huge alkaline trio fans so well be watching them everyday for sure. Im also excited to see the Spill Canvas and Circa Survive.

PNW: What can we expect to see at your merch tent? Will you have any new merch for the summer?

A: Definitely! And you can expect to see us. We arent one of those bands that is never seen at shows. Well be hanging out there all the time asking fans for autographs because thats how it should be. Not the other way around. Were here because of them.

PNW: What is the worst place youve ever had to sleep while on tour?

A: We used to sleep in rest stops a lot and get big flying bugs in the car crawling on us because we didnt have air conditioning and had to leave the windows or doors open. That was pretty terrible. But WORTH IT! And we were in St. Louis once and went to check into a hotel and there were bullets all over the ground and people staring at us thru the windows and scoping out our trailer..we didnt stay there but it was the worst place we have ever almost stayed.

PNW: What is in your current ipod playlist?

A: Heavens, Regina Spektor, New Dead Radio, the new Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, and the live version of breathe me by Sia - puts me straight to sleep.

PNW: What is the most disgusting thing you have ever seen?

A: I went to a club in Hollywood called Moscow once. Thats the only time I have ever been stoked to be kicked out of somewhere.

PNW: What are your plans for after Warped?

A: Tour, tour, tour! Nothing officially setup as of now but we have some awesome things in the works. Keep an eye out!

PNW: Anything else youd like to say to the kids before they catch you at Warped?

A: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the mind blowing support! We cant say that enough. If you havent seen us or heard of us, come check us out or just stop by our tent and say hi. See you all soon!!

The starting bid is at 1000 dollars and soo far no one has bid yet. This is an official legit way to get backstage to every single warped tour in 2007. You need to cover all your own food and travel, but these passes will get you in and it all goes towards supporting an awesome charity. Be sure that if you are going to try to buy passes on ebay, that this is the only ones you can trust. Last year a bunch of people emailed in saying how they had bought passes for hundreds and hundreds of dollars on ebay, and they showed up and they got taken away for being fakes. If you are serious about being on Warped, then this is the hook up of your dreams...
